
Hydro-Mechanical
systems and Mobile Hydraulics:
Powermetric’s designs have greatly benefited traction driven
vehicles since the designs incorporated hydro-mechanical systems in
the transmission design systems, which minimised wear and tear and
reduced maintenance since it used fewer components.
Through its superior design solutions, Powermetric™ has been
able to increase the ease and convenience of applications in the field
of mobile hydraulics. The designs aim to ensure that the agricultural
equipments are rugged and capable of working under extreme conditions,
even in dry and dusty environments.
Finite Element Analysis:
Flex Plate Analysis for traction drive is undertaken to analyse mode
shapes at various rotating conditions. The plate thickness is 2.5
mm and has flexibility for axial mis-alignment. The natural frequencies
are determined during the rotational speed of 2700 RPM. Powermetric™
optimised the design to improve plate rigidity during high torque
transmission.
The pump body was analysed for Hoof stresses developed due to pressure
in the body. The effect of combined stress due to over torquing and
Hoof stress was analysed in detail, thereby enabling the determination
of torque limit for the fixing of covers on the pump body.
